Goals for 2016: Winning races
Personal Hobbies/Interests: Playing guitar
First Bike: A production Raleigh, which was way too big for me. I rode it around the driveway until I could reach the brake levers, then it began.
What would you be doing if you weren’t cycling? Studying engineering
Favourite Training Ride: A cold wet autumnal ride up and over the leafy Ashdown Forrest near my home.
Favourite Race: Liège Bastonge Liège. US race: Snake Alley Criterium. Race I’ve ridden: Omloop Het Niewsblad Junior
Favourite Music: Producers like T.E.E.D, Bonobo and Ta-Ku when chilling, bands like The Smiths and Blink-182 on road trips in the team van and some Rap or big Dutch house music to get pumped up before races.
If you could race any cyclist (dead or alive) who would it be and what discipline: Eric Vanderaeden in Het volk
Toughest race you’ve done and why: I remember Gastown GP in Vancouver being tough this year, I’d dug myself into a little hole through traveling so was full gas to stay in the wheels.
What cycling accomplishment are you most proud of? Winning in Belgium with family and friends watching will always be special memory.
